NavVis CLX: agile handheld capture for everyday documentation

NavVis announced the CLX on 1 September 2026 and showed it publicly for the first time at INTERGEO in Munich on 15 to 17 September. It completes a three-device line: VLX for large wearable surveys, MLX for handheld professional scanning, and now CLX for the everyday documentation jobs in between.

What it is built for

• LOD200 Scan-to-CAD and BIM workflows, area referencing, site assessment and quantity surveying.

Why we ordered it

A growing share of VirtualSpace work is repeat documentation: the same retail chain every quarter, the same office floors before and after a fit-out. Those jobs do not need the VLX 3, they need a device that is quick to deploy and consistent across fifty sites. The CLX is that device, and it feeds the same NavVis IVION projects our clients already use.
