Multi-site rollouts: capturing fifty locations with one standard

Capturing one location is a booking. Capturing fifty is a programme, and the difference is the standard everyone follows.

The capture standard

Before the first visit we agree a one-page standard: which areas are in scope, the starting point of the tour, how back-of-house is handled, the tag schema, naming and folder structure in the client's account, and the deliverables per site. Every Spatialist on the programme works from the same sheet.

Scheduling across cities

VirtualSpace assigns a local Spatialist to each location, so a chain across Miami, Toronto and Cairo is captured in the same week without anyone flying. Store managers receive a booking window and a checklist; captures happen before opening or after close.

Quality control

Each model is checked against the standard before delivery: coverage, alignment, blur, tag completeness. Deviations go back to the Spatialist, not the client.

Delivery

Models land in the client's own Matterport organisation, organised by region, with a spreadsheet of links, floor areas and capture dates. Repeat captures use the same standard, which is where the NavVis CLX and quick Matterport walks pay off.

A barbershop chain on our network is the template: every branch captured to one standard, used for franchise sales, fit-out planning and standards audits.
