DJI Matrice 350 RTK joins our drone fleet

DJI announced the Matrice 350 RTK on 18 May 2023 as the successor to the Matrice 300, and it has become the workhorse for VirtualSpace aerial bookings that need mapping-grade positioning.

Key upgrades

• 55 minutes of flight per battery pair, with hot-swapping so a mapping mission is never interrupted.
• O3 Enterprise transmission at up to 20 km, with a night-vision FPV camera for low-light inspections.
• RTK positioning that puts orthomosaics and photogrammetry models within centimetres of the ground survey.
• Payload flexibility: Zenmuse P1 for photogrammetry, L2 for LiDAR, H20 series for inspection.

How it fits a Virtual Space

A ground scan tells you what is inside a building; a drone survey tells you where it sits. For developers and facility owners we now capture both on one visit: an interior Matterport tour, an exterior fly-over video, and an orthomosaic that plans and site logistics can be drawn on. The Matrice 350 RTK is reserved for sites over about five acres and for inspection work; smaller sites fly on the Mavic 3 Enterprise.
